As Wheretobet.com has recently reported, there has been a flurry of activity in the online gaming industry recently, ranging from restructuring (where companies e.g. move out of the US market and focus exclusively on global markets), managerial decisions to stop accepting new players for the time being, and even outright closure of seemingly stable and secure online gaming brands.
The bulk of the news has been in the poker and sportsbook niches, though activity has also extended recently to the online casino sector.
Bingo, while previously remaining out of the headlines, has now joined the fray, with the World Bingo Network closing its doors.
The bingo rooms that will be closed as a result are Bingoworkz, Desperate Housewives Bingo, USA Bingo, and Bingo Tropic.
At this point it is unknown when or even if players and affiliates with cash balances will be paid.
